Dear ladies and gentleman,
Since the past few days, I have been encountering a rather strange phenomenon.
It all happened last week, after a reboot of my phone. I could not find Youtube Vanced on my phone. So, being the curious me, I decided to check what happened.
Turns out my phone, after being rooted for over 4 months by now, somehow "lost" it's root access after a restart. No Magisk, no SU, negative results from Root-Checker.
I was baffled on how this could happen. Maybe it was a bug after an update. That's why, after some backing up, I did a fresh start.
Yet, just a few hours ago, my phone once again lost it's root access. The battery ran out.
Now, with the preamble done, here's my question for you:
How is it possible to "lose" root access? Does it have to do with underlying security features that I do not know of? Is there a way to get around it?
I'm willing to do another fresh installment of TWRP and stuff.
I used this (hxxps://galaxys8root.com/galaxy-s8-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s8-or-s8-plus-on-android-8-0-oreo/) guide for rooting.
Any additional information needed will be posted asap.
I'm looking forward to your answers.
With kind regards,
